Alsa is a multi-disciplinary designer starting a socially-engaged and participatory design practice. Her focus is engaging communities in Indonesia to collaboratively design spaces and activations with local narrative, nature, culture, and sustainability at the core. She has previously worked in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of Indonesia as a designer for the Spice Routes programme.

As an LPDP (The Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) Scholarship Awardee, She’s currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Narrative Environments in Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She’s bringing the Southeast Asian perspective in the Spatial Practices programme in campus as the climate advocate. Integrating climate and social justice principles in the curriculum whilst connecting students from different courses.

Alsa actively promotes Indonesian culture in London and engages with the Indonesian Embassy as the angklung teacher since May 2023. Angklung is a traditional musical instrument originating from West Java and the angklung group has performed in multiple events in the UK.
